A 34 year old phone company trainer was involved in
a collision with a rental car operated by a 19 year
old helping his Aunt return the car from work.
The firm sued the rental company and the driver's
Aunts employer. The rental agency denied fault
for the under 25 driver. The employer refused
to accept liability and blamed the firm's client.
The NK&P client injured his knee and back. As
a result of knee weakness, he fell down on his porch

collision. She suffered a serious neck injury
requiring surgery to fuse her vertebrae. The
other driver had very little insurance. The
client had uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage

other driver and the UM/UIM company. A

backing into the warehouse area not pulling out as
the client claimed. The cases were settled
with the women receiving a total of more than
$600,000.

Every day people are
seriously injured and lives are torn apart, even lost, due to the negligent
operation of automobiles, trucks, and other motor vehicles. We at NK&P
are exceedingly well equipped and experienced to help.
A victim of an automobile accident may be entitled to insurance payment
of medical bills (PIP) as well as compensation for loss of ability
to work and earn wages. Additionally compensation may be available
for the pain, suffering, disfigurement and inconvenience of Automobile
Accident related injuries. Our Attorneys and staff are familiar with
both insurance laws and medical treatment. We can assist a injured
person in receiving needed Medical treatment and diagnosis to which
he or she is entitled.
It is very important for a victim of an automobile accident to
seek medical attention right away. Every pain and complaint no
matter how slight should be described to medical personnel. It
is important that witness’s names and addresses be obtained
as soon after the accident as possible. Pictures of accident vehicles
at the scene or before repair are very helpful to a claim, as are
photographs of the injured areas of the body. In short, the sooner
information can be developed and preserved, the better a claim
will proceed.
At no time should a victim speak to or give a statement to an
insurance company representative (such as adjusters) regarding
the accident. Insurance agents work for insurance companies, not
injured victims! They are not a friend! An insurance agent will
seek to find out anything possible to limit or prevent recovery
of damages.
